Is CliftonStrengths the same as StrengthsFinder?

Yes. Gallup rebranded StrengthsFinder to CliftonStrengths in 2015 to honor Don Clifton, the psychologist who created it. Same content, same scoring, new name.

Do I get my full 34 ranking?

Only the Top 5 come with the standard Gallup report. The full 34-theme ranking is a paid upgrade from Gallup, and many employers buy full-34 access for their teams for development purposes.

Can you fail CliftonStrengths?

No. CliftonStrengths has no pass-fail. Every Top 5 is valid. Employers use the output mostly for development and conversation, not for selection.

Do employers use CliftonStrengths for hiring?

Rarely as a hard filter. Most use it post-hire for onboarding, coaching, and team design. Gallup themselves use it internally for hiring with validation research. Other employers typically use it as a supplementary signal.
