Candidates do not ration their time. They answer the opening almost completely and then fall off a cliff, on tests where a wrong answer costs nothing.

Being measured

Does a long pause mean a wrong answer? Dwell time against correctness, per question.
Which tests are built as a difficulty ramp? Accuracy by position among answered questions, with the flat tests as the control.
Does a second sitting help? Measured, and not being published: of eighty repeat pairs, sixty-one re-sat the same test, so the gain is largely item memory. We would rather say so than publish a number that flatters us.
